Africa Seven continually deliver the goods and this collection of hot ones from Pasteur Lappe is no exception. The Pasteur delivered 3 albums between 1979-81 and Africa Seven have selected wisely to deliver a wax that was never far away from the shop turntables during 2016.


34) De La Soul – And The Anonymous Nobody (AOI) 2xLP

Hip Hop Legends De La Soul delivered a very strong album in the summer that demonstrated their consistency for quality since ‘3 Feet and Rising.’ The leading cut ‘Pain’ is a shop favourite which hopefully will get a 12″ release during 2017.


33) Don Carlos – Alone (Calypso) 12″

One of the big hitters of house music anmd surely the greatest ever house record to materialise from Italy was re-pressed in 2016 and proved as to be expected to sell like hot cakes. Respect due to Don Carlos!

Andrew gave his friends and family access to remix/re-dit this great collection of moods, grooves and beats which proved to be a popular seller within the shop.


31) Al Dobson – Rye Lane Vol II & III (Rhythm Section) 2xLP

Al Dobson released Vol II and III of his Rye Lane series together on a double pack earlier in March. This boy has talent and has a promising future. Rhythm Section continued to deliver the goods in 2016.
