77:78, the new project from Aaron Fletcher & Tim Parkin, card-carrying members of the musical kaleidoscope that is The Bees, are releasing two genius Ashley Beedle remixes of Love Said (Let’s Go), the latest track to be taken from their debut album, Jellies, which was released on Heavenly Recordings back in the summer.
On the flip of this limited edition (300) 12” is the original version and a glistening remix by new kids The Flying Mojito Brothers.
Ships week beginning 18th Dec 2018
“I worked with these guys in their Bees incarnation back in the day. After hearing the original version of ‘Love Said’, initially sent as a Your Army promo, I jumped at the chance to offer my remix + production services. Along with the North Street crew, Darren Morris & Jo Wallace, the track transformed into a West Coast anthem – long live the psychedelic sound of the Isle of Wight – straight outta Black Gang Chine!’
Aaron Fletcher (77:78):
“Ashley got in touch praising the energy and vibe of ‘Love Said’, originally this was early on in the year before the album was ready to drop. Total blessing in disguise, as he was unaware that we were originally part of The Bees ( he had done a killer rework for a song called Better Days, which we all loved) so relighting that flame through the music and having no idea that the team was essentially the same was exciting and kinda beyond belief! He’s nailed a rockin’ psych beat sound, pushed the progression button and reintroduced the summer of 77:78 to a whole bigger dance floor…”
